Favourite Food: So tough to pick just one food as my favourite so I'm going to say my favourite meal would have to be Moms Sunday dinner. Roast beef smothered in horseradish and gravy, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, peas, carrots, brussel sprouts. So good!
How Long have you been into fitness: I have been into fitness since I was 15. On and off in between injuries but its something that has and will continue to be a priority in my life.
How has fitness impacted your life? Fitness has impacted my life in so many ways. It has brought me out from an extremely shy shell to a person with confidence. Not being much into team sports, it has given me a sense of accomplishment along the way breaking through plateaus. I have been a couple motorcycle accidents, and I feel that it could have been a lot worse if i wasn't strong and healthy to begin with. Its also been a place for my rehabilitation after the accidents. Having the support from all the gym goers around helps you heal quicker instead of sitting at home feeling sorry for yourself. The gym will always be a huge part of my life. Its one of my favourite places to be.
What is currently music is currently playing on your headphones in the gym? Ill always have a steady flow of hip hop in my headphones. But depending on my mood, I often listen to a mix of hard house and trance. Most recently I've been listening to a lot of 80's hair metal music.
What is your future fitness goal? When I started working out I was 5'6" and 104lbs, so my goal has always been to become the size of a fridge and have troubles walking through doorways. Realizing that this will never be possible I have set some goals that keep me strong and healthy. More functional fitness. But who knows, maybe this will be the year I build a set of traps so huge I have a hearing disability. We'll see....
Tell an interesting thing or two about yourself: I have always prided myself for being very strong for my size. I started training power lifting style at age 15. A few years later an a few lbs heavier I was able to benchpress 345lbs weighing only 145lbs. During high school our gym teacher made everyone do a max chin-up and pushup contest. I held the record for years doing 86 chin-ups.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? If I could be any animal I think it would be a Lion. They always seem to have a great way of life in the nature videos. Always hanging out with groups of friends. Never in a hurry to get anywhere. Have food brought to them. Sweet hair. Always accompanied by a strong female. You rarely see them into fights but if they have to they would fight to the death for themselves but more for the people around them.
